Before I pointlessly blog about that, I have to give a shout-out to a super special awesome boyfriend.
Oh oh, and he is super sweet, too. :3 Thursday night, he brought me a rose. Unfortunately, I have to ruin cute moments and was asleep. >:C Damn it, me, why do you hate sweet moments? I found myself awwing and bawwing at cute couples all weekend. Speaking of which...
YOUMACON. 2009. HOLY AWESOME. I don't know where to begin. We got there around 9:30AM Saturday morning, I think, and changed into our cosplays in a bathroom (we couldn't get our room until 1PM). I was Soul from Soul Eater, not that it matters. We walked around for a bit, got our pictures taken, and walked to the mall for food (eat fresh). Then we got our room. Holy awesome, it was a hospitality suite with a giant window. And Jasmine's parents went to Kroger, so we were greeted by a mountain food. We went to Live Action Mario Party and sat with team Mecha later that day. Bah, I don't really remember what we did after, since most of it was walking around and waiting in lines. The photo shoot was fun, though. Of course there aren't any pictures from that up yet, but I'm in a few of them.
C: Cookie distribution went better than planned. I was worried that we would be caught, but that fear was washed away when two staff members took one. Now I'm stalking the forums to see if anyone had mentioned the "Cookie Girls". There were a few people we talked to after, and one had us sign his sign. I'm not sure what it is for, but I hope someone remembers us. We signed YoumaBlanket as "The Cookie Girls" in fancy alternating colors. Rather, Jessie did, being she has the best handwriting. Bah, even if no one mentions us, it felt good to bring the gift of cookies, hugs, and happiness at the same time.
Speaking of hugs, we got a lot. There was a 30-50 person hug line, and it was insane. We got about 200 hugs from it, though I wasn't counting. Jessie's grand hug total (thanks to her neon yellow hug sign) was around 600. Pretty awesome for two days.
Jasmine and I were out of our cosplays later that night. Wigs are so itchy and uncomfortable! It felt weird not cosplaying, though. I kept leaning over to be in character then remember I'm not a character. We were going to go to the dance, but we were too tired to do anything. And I was gruuuuumpy. I missed Nick, and I wanted sleep. Of course I can't get sleep because the room is freezing, the sheet is weird, and I just plain create a vacuum through inhalation at sleeping.
But there were donuts when I woke up this morning, so that helped a little. Jasmine and I didn't bother cosplaying. Most of this day was spent sitting, complaining, dancing, and eating. The closing ceremony ended with a giant conga line into the parking lot. It was EPIC. Bah, how many people bother to read my journals? The few people that read this get bonus points.
